Jerusalem / Al Quds
The colours and shapes on the Haram al-Sharif in Jerusalem / Al Quds inspired the pieces in the top row.
The Hammam al-Ayn, restored by Al Quds University, can be found off the Cotton Traders' Market in the walled city. The light coming in through its domed ceilings provoked the large piece on the left, along with a companion piece made into an umbrella (but not shown here). The interior of the Hammam is shown bottom right.
